I hope every researcher in this community always wants to know about the winning submissions of the participated study (when the researcher itself not a winner). I suggest instead of disclosing names of study winners (which nobody cares), disclosing winning submissions to study participants is a good idea, without disclosing winner name to all. This will bring a direct improvement in finding relevant disclosure and highlighting skills. There may be more advantages of disclosing winning submissions to study participants, let's see what AOP community think about it.

dsarokin I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see the winning submissions.
I can think of no single step to make me (and everyone else) a better researcher than to learn what documents I overlooked when I participate in a study.

pn360research As independent researchers, we all have certain scope of imagination, interpretation and understanding. Many times we all experienced that according to our scope we submitted best result but even that may not get reward. exploring winning submissions widens this scope which ultimately led to submission of better and accurate results.

jbepcorp1 Yes, I completely agree to your views.
With regards to AOP privacy agreement,
I think only all winning researchers of a particular study can be made aware about winning submission. -
dsarokin Demetra...You make some good points. I do think, since we're a closed (ie, private) community, that there are ways to ID a winning entry without making the information public. And with millions at risk, as you note, I can't help feeling we're underpaid...! ;-)
But thanks for the link love....!

pn360research AOP community consist of researchers around the globe, providing game changing information for millions of dollars at risk. AOP must provide this game changing information anonymously to his attorneys/clients without even sharing researcher's info with them and after information submission, it should be AOP's responsibility to testify information provided in court.
Is there any researcher who wants to be involved in legalities. Not at all.
we all works like 007.
Researching for AOP is just a competition for all of us. -
pn360research Demetra ...
there may be even more complex situations than you pointed but still what i want to say we provide information that's in public domain around the globe, except in rare cases, we just collect it and handover it to AOP with little highlighting.
How this information further manipulated or what are outcomes, we hardly bother about it ?
Sharing winning submissions among participants (say for 2 hours) after completion is a quick feedback which enables us to brush up our strategies and skills. -
pn360research Every Penney has heads and tails we cannot get both simultaneously, and our point of view stands in same situation. but in reality most of the researchers, to whom AOP shows some faith and pay or not pay a little fee, still love to see winning submissions.

dsarokin pn360research and Demetra
Congratulations to the two of you for creating the first real dialogue on this forum in a long, long time...maybe ever...!!!
Let's hope we see a few more of these in the weeks ahead ;-)
-
pn360research David ... 45 people busy in private studies how can there be a conversation possible :D
-
yuyuc Yes, Demetra's standpoint is professional.
It is true that "When the litigation is over, it is easy enough to find all of the "winning" supporting documents online at any Law Library." If one has not even built up the abilities of searching these lawsuit cases, then there is no doubt that disclosing winning submissions is asked on AOP again and again. But, will AOP do so? I think AOP will not. So? Keep asking to disclose winning documents…(AOP still won't. Keep asking...)
If you are the client, you pay for searching services, especially involving litigation. After that, you are willing to disclose the results that you paid for?
What I want to say is that search skills and patent knowledge or cognition should be sharpened and strengthened in VARIOUS ASPECTS.
-
dsarokin Good points all around, but I *really* have to take issue with the repeated notion that " it is easy enough to find all of the "winning" supporting documents online at any Law Library."
Have you ever actually done this!!! It's not easy at all, as the cases produce endless amounts of material that are almost as obscure as the patents themselves.
As for AOP not being likely to change their policy on revealing the winners -- I'm sure you're correct on *that* one. Still...it's nice to have an opportunity to vent about it now and then ;-)
-
pn360research Correct David,
If we try rewind the tape of our searches to look for what a winning submission look like for a particular study, after final judgement, no body know how much time we have to wait for and i suppose every thing will wiped out from our mind and may be from platform also till then.
finding winning submissions after litigation closed is rather a bad idea.
but going to a library for finding good references is a thumbs up .. ;) -
yuyuc Yes, he is not your boss or whatever. Your opinion or ability doesn't need his endorsement. Some people think immediately learning from winning submissions is the best choice so they keep asking. Basically, I don't think this behavior is too wise. I can understand their level may, still, halt there.
How about me? If someone asks. Well, if AOP can disclose the winning submission, of source, that is great. But, I realize that is IMPOSSIBLE to do so. In addition, I've accumulated tons of experiences rejecting or invalidating patents in real life, so whether I win a study on AOP is not my only credit . That won't affect my confidence in the patent field.
BTW, I still remember in 2013, some researchers shared their references with others so AOP freezed many user accounts. At the moment, I was thinking... come on... just for some MVR rewards, 100USD or so, people from some specific country were just willing to sell their credit and honesty. That may be why in every study aOP always note "Submissions may not be shared with other Researchers."
So, if winning Submissions are really disclosed to study participants, maybe this time one may do more big business to sell references to defendants in lawsuits.

pn360research Demetra
Going to library is really a good choice for searching references and this idea not stupidity at all but i think you infered incorrectly , I am just sayinng that suppose a reasercher participating in 10 studies per month , waiting for each of these 10 litigation studies to complete and then going to library to look what he done in each case and what are final results is a painful and time wasting job.
yuyuc
I am neither a boss nor interested in endorsing. you have real life experience in patent field as you said , then i hope in real life also you would always like to have quick feedback from your client for information you served him.
Similarly, may legalities are involved or tens of complex issues, sharing results gives a quick feedback to researchers involved. -
yuyuc pn360research
Sorry to understand your English comprehension and interpretation skills being like that. In addition to searching, it may be another one of the reasons that you failed to win a study, because of your interpretation abilities? I cannot even find any of my words to WANT you to endorse my abilities.
And,I am not in private companies or firms. Patent industries are not that narrow as you read, as you see, as you understand. I can tell you there are judges, patent examiners, patent technical officers, patent attorneys, and outstanding researchers like you on this platform.
Expect you to be on the list of "Total Rewards" someday.
-
pn360research yuyuc
what is said regarding endorsing others is related to this sentence "Yes, he is not your boss or whatever. Your opinion or ability doesn't need his endorsement.", and I said I am not endorsing Demetra. I am not interested in endorsing you or any body else neither I want you to ask me to endorse you. Your interpretation, "I cannot even find any of my words to WANT you to endorse my abilities.", is incorrect in this regard.
You proven your abilities being in total rewards list. You or Demetra or other colleagues don't need endorsement from others, there work on platform itself endorse them.
Regarding my abilities i think you come to a conclusion very soon but that's fine I am also not saying that I am perfect.
I know some of researchers are very experienced and my experience may be little compare to them, but yes I am gaining it by competing with them. -
yuyuc What I said is Demetra doesn't need to care about your words, "finding winning submissions after litigation closed is rather a bad idea." This is from your disdain.
You don’t recommend her “bad idea,” do you? (Do not recommend ~ Do not endorse) You can further consult the WM dictionary about wording and interpretation, which may also help grasp the claim scope well in the future.
-
pn360research Seriously yuyuc, you diving deep in WM dictionary but still not getting what i am saying.
if you read this again:
"
Correct David,
If we try rewind the tape of our searches to look for what a winning submission look like for a particular study, after final judgement, no body know how much time we have to wait for and i suppose every thing will wiped out from our mind and may be from platform also till then.
finding winning submissions after litigation closed is rather a bad idea.but going to a library for finding good references is a thumbs up .. ;)"
first of all i am not recommending anything to Demetra rather I am telling David what I feel about winning submissions. How can you even think that I am disrespecting Demetra in any way and not giving proper respect ?
but now I can certainly say that your wordings are misleading and full of stupid sense as you are provoking Demetra to feel disrespectful.
Now I am asking to Demetra,
Demetra,
Does any of my views/opinion till now makes you to feel that I am not treating you respectfully ? -
yuyuc This new forum seems to provide a function that automatically delivers the new post to your email. Before my second post, Demetra already said something “I was utterly devastated…” She just erased it. I think you know it. It’s good that you ask her again now.
"Demetra Going to library is really a good choice for searching references and this idea not stupidity at all but i think you infered incorrectly"
"but now I can certainly say that your wordings are misleading and full of stupid sense as you are provoking Demetra to feel disrespectful."
So, your English or you are always misunderstood. These're always others' stupid sense or incorrect inference.
Remember, be polite and be well educated.
-
Demetra IT'S A COMPETITION!

-
pn360research Like open book exam doesn't means that everybody can score 100 out of 100 similarly "atleast the source (or database) from where the winning submission was mined can be disclosed" doesn't mean that it leads to a situation where every body can expertise searching on that database.
-
meticulous_researcher The source/databases are generally disclosed by the Featured Researcher/ROTM in their interview. As per my experience the study winners are among those chosen as these Featured Researcher/ROTM. So we always get a hint of the good databases which could fetch us winning references.
